Capital Reinforcing’s dedication to excellence, technological innovation, and customer-centric approach solidify its position as a leading provider in the steel reinforcement industry.

A Bit Of History

The business began over 20 years ago, like most from humble beginnings, with our first site situated on the Curr Road, not far from Omagh in Co. Tyrone. We quickly established a good customer base that allowed the company to start its journey to growth. A few years later secured a larger site in Ballygawley Co. Tyrone due to that continued growth. Soon after securing the Ballygawley site the company opened its next facility in Belfast working on many Prestigeous projects such as the new Titanic Building, Ulster Hospital Extension and many others.

Over the next few years our Irish customer based were working on an increased number of projects in England, Scotland and Wales and asked us to supply to them as well as the current projects in Ireland.  We soon found the need to open an additional facility to support the growing demand not just from our existing customers but new clients based throughout the UK that liked the type of service we gave them.

After securing a large undeveloped site in Bromborough, Merseyside in 2014, we soon gained planning permission for Factory 1 at our Bromborough works.  Work started on that building soon after planning permission was received, completing it in July 2015.  This building was designed to have a best output based on the least number of movements meaning that we could increase our output to match market demand.

In 2015, we negotiated a second part of the site in Bromborough to develop Factory 2 which would allow us to carry out essential maintenance work on our transport fleet but at the same time give us additional factory space to continue to the company’s growth.  Finishing this building in 2017, we also increased the footprint of the entire site allowing additional storage of materials, company trailers and space for future expansion.

Case Studies

HS2 and the Mersey Gateway Project are prime examples of major UK infrastructure developments utilising our high-quality steel rebar. HS2, the high-speed rail network connecting London to the Midlands and North, relies on durable rebar for constructing tunnels and bridges. Similarly, the Mersey Gateway Project, a key bridge linking Runcorn and Widnes, showcases the critical role of reinforced steel in ensuring structural integrity, read more about what we did below.
